The Tenerife Walking Festival will take place from March 16st to 20rd 2021. This is a Hiking Festival open to nature lovers from all over the world. The Festival combines daily hikes along some of the natural places of the Island with a program of cultural, social and gastronomic activities.
You can join the Tenerife Walking Festival with your group of hikers, with the family or even alone.
Departure point
All routes will depart from Puerto de la Cruz town centre: Plaza de Europa Bus Stop. Half an hour before the departure time you will meet there with the Tenerife Walking Festival team. check it on the map
Accommodation
Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz accounts with a large accommodation offer, from five star hotels to more economic options, from resort type accommodation to rural hotels or cottage houses, you will find the accommodation that will suit your taste.

Picnic
The Tenerife Walking Festival can arrange your dayly picnic for the routes. Additional cost of picnic is 6€ per person/route. This lunch is prepared by a local company which works in the training and capacity-building of socially excluded citizens in order to help them being placed into the labour market. They are organic-certified agricultural producers who also cater on demand. Ingredients are either produced locally or fair-trade, applying a 0-mile philosophy as much as possible, and wrapped in biodegradable or recyclable materials.

Hiking Shoes and clothes
Using a proper hiking shoes is required by the organization. The guides must take care of the safety of the participants, so, if your shoes are not appropriate for hiking, he/she might refuse your participation on the route for your own security.
Please bring water, a small backpack and confortable clothes. We also recommend you to bring sunscreen.
COVID-19 Protocol
In accordance with the specific regulations that establish prevention measures in order to address the COVID-19 health crisis, we have established a reference protocol of mandatory compliance for the celebration of the Tenerife Walking Festival.
Languages
The official lenguages of the Tenerife Walking Festival are: Spanish and English.
Groups
The groups will have a maximum of 25 people and a minimum of 20. In case there are less than 10 people, the organisation reserves the right to relocate participants to another route or cancel it.
Recommended airport in Tenerife
There are 2 airports in Tenerife (Tenerife Norte Airport y Tenerife South Airport). Considering that Puerto de la Cruz is the departure point for all the routes, we recommend you to fly to the Tenerife North Airport. From there, you can take the public transportation or a taxi to Puerto the la Cruz.

You can register on the Tenerife Walking Festival by completing the Registration form of this web, where you will find all the information about the services that includes the registration.
The registration on the Tenerife Walking Festival costs 35€ per person, you have to add this amount to the routes prices that you will participate (at least 3).
SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR GROUPS: Groups of seven people or more can benefit from our offer of 1 person free of charge. If you wish to apply for this discount, the TEAM LEADER must submit the reservation of the rest of the group, and then e-mail us at twf@webtenerife.com requesting a free-registration voucher, by specifying:
- Name and surname of the TEAM LEADER
- Name and surname of the rest of the group members (minimum 6)

Tenerife Walking Festival Environmental Commitment: “Zero footprint”
The Tenerife Walking Festival is an event fully committed with the preservation of our local environment and conscious that the climate change is one of our biggest challenges on the XXI Century.
The Ecological footprint is a the metric that allows us to calculate human pressure on the planet and come up with results on how our activity affects our environment.
So, using the international footprint standards, the Tenerife Walking Festival will calculate the event impact over the environment.
Once we have the results, we will organise a tree plantation, using endemic species, with the objective to reach the zerofootprint.
With the plantation of endemic species, the Tenerife Walking Festival will help to the recovery of the local forests and will show its commitment with the fight against Climate Change.
